3M™ construction seaming tape 8087CW is a construction seaming tape made from an extremely strong polypropylene backing with a proprietary cold weather acrylic adhesive with excellent UV resistance. 3M™ construction seaming tape 8087 gives you the versatility for seaming, splicing, sealing or repairing many materials used for moisture barriers inside and outside. This includes sheathing, weather resistant barriers and moisture barriers. This tape is formed from a rugged biaxially orientated polypropylene film backing which is coated with a 3M™ industrial grade pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive. The backing is conformable to irregular surfaces and contours to help ensure a tight seal and will remain flexible even at temperatures as cold as -4 deg F/-20 deg C. This tape is UV stabilized and resistant to help protect against degradation by sunlight. A low moisture vapor transmission rate does not compromise performance of vapor barriers. The tape unwinds easily by hand or with a 3M™ handheld applicator. 3M™ construction seaming tape 8087 is designed for a variety of applications in the construction industry, including seaming, splicing and repairing. Taping seams aids in reducing air infiltration, improves the effectiveness of insulation and reduces heating and cooling costs. 3M™ construction seaming tape 8087 features a pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive that performs well, even in cold temperatures. This adhesive adheres immediately on contact to a variety of materials such as house wrap, insulated sheathing, vapor barrier film and unfinished wood. It performs at temperatures as low as 14 deg F/-10 deg C. If this tape is applied at cold temperatures, adhesion will increase as temperature warms or with the sun's rays. Once bonded this tape will provide good holding power for extended periods with good aging and UV resistance. It will resist lifting and curling. 3M™ construction seaming tape 8087 meets the criteria to contribute to the environmental quality, Credit 41. - low-emitting materials - adhesives, sealants under the United States green building council's rating system for new construction and major renovations (LEED-NC), version 2.2, core and shell (LEED_CS), version 2.0 and commercial interiors (LEED_CI), version 2.0.
