3M™ ™ hydrogen fluoride Cartridge with filter 7093C is NIOSH approved and provides protection against hydrogen fluoride and oil based and oil-free particles. It provides protection against harmful concentrations of organic vapors and acid gases when used with 3M™ ™ half face and full face respirators 6000, 7000 or FF-400 Series with filter retainers bayonet. When properly adjusted, the 3M™ ™ hydrogen fluoride Cartridge with filter 7093C/37173 suitable for a variety of applications, including welding, brazing, torch cutting, metal casting, soft soldering, as well as exposure to lead, asbestos, cadmium, arsenic, 4,4-diamino-diphenylmethane (MDA) and hydrogen fluoride (FH) for concentrations up to 10X the permissible exposure limit with half mask respirators or up to 50X the limit permissible exposure with full facepiece respirators. This filter also provides protection against harmful concentrations of organic vapors and acid gases. Full face masks must be quantitatively fit tested to be assigned a characteristic protection factor greater than 10 in negative pressure mode. Do not use if the atmosphere presents an immediate danger to life or health (DIVS). NIOSH approved against hydrogen fluoride and certain oil based and oil-free particles. 3M™ recommended against harmful concentrations of organic vapors and acid gases. The filter, often used in the reduction market, is encapsulated in a rigid shell to help protect it from spray shower jets.
