This product is used as a horizontal grade sealant for sealing and stress-relieving applications that undergo substantial expansion and contraction. 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ control joint sealant DP5106 is a two component polyurethane sealant capable of delivering strong results fast, particularly for sealing and stress-relieving applications that undergo substantial expansion and contraction. With a 1:1 mix ratio, this control joint sealant is self-leveling when dispensed, providing a clean and simple application. Upon application, this sealant has a 44 min work life, is tack free in 30 min and fully cured in 24 hr at 72 deg F. 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ control joint sealant DP5106 is formulated for low temperature flexibility that provides durability and resistance to cracking. Two part urethane adhesives cure chemically, rather than relying on moisture from the air. Because of this, they can cure quickly with no depth of cure issues in contrast to one part urethane adhesive sealants.
